The Library

If love was a book, ours would be a library…”  Not only the story of Liverpool in a pint, but also the story of love. The library is home to the ‘Shoemakers Arms’ our personal tribute to Robert Cains wife, Ann Newall, the daughter of James Newall, a Liverpool shoemaker. The pair were married on the 4th April 1847 in St. Philips church, Hardman St Liverpool.

Robert Cain was constantly learning to improve himself and the products that he offered. As well as this determination, he was a perfectionist and a man with a strong belief in himself. If something had his name associated with it, he wanted it to be stylish and impeccable just like the library.
